Höegh Autoliners sells Pure Car and Truck Carrier for green recycling
On 15 November 2016, Höegh Autoliners sold the Pure Car and Truck Carrier MV Morning Mercator (built 1988) for recycling, the company said in its press release. The vessel will, in line with our green recycling policy, be recycled at Jiang Men City Zhong Xin Shipbreaking & Steel Co. in China, under supervision by Grieg Green. "This is the 16th car carrier we have sold for green recycling since 2009. We are pleased to use a recycling yard which have successfully recycled several of our vessels in recent years, and that Grieg Green will supply services to safeguard safe and environmentally friendly recycling," says Steinar Løvdal, Chief Operating Officer Deep Sea.
