Coast Guard inspects Aoli 6 which ran aground
Philippine Coast Guard-Northern Luzon (PCG-NL) personnel inspected Wednesday morning the MV AOLI 6, a Hongkong-registered general cargo vessel that ran aground last Tuesday at around 6:30 p.m. to check for any possible of oil spill. The PCG divers inspected the extent of the damage to the hull of the vessel, which carries 9,097.192 tons of chromite ore. According to the Coast Guard, the entire bottom hull is resting on a sandy and partly rocky bottom and there was no sign of oil spill.
