Ferry allided with pier in Brimsnes
In the afternoon of June 13, 2013, at 3.40 p.m. the "Sogn" ran into the ferry dock at Brimnes whilst coming from Bruravik. There were 43 passengers and a crew of nine aboard. No one was injured. However, the ferry suffered hull damage and sailed to Ulvik. Also the ferry pier was damaged, and Fjord1 was working to survey the damage on both the ferry and the pier. The "Sogn" could be pulled off the rocks in the run of Aug 26. She proceeded to Ulvik in the night and entered a repair yard there on Aug 27. Sogn on the rocks
The "Sogn" serving between between Bruravik and Brimnes Hordaland ran straight into rocks at the south side of the Hardanger Fjord on Aug 26, 2011, at 6.44 a.m. The "Sogn" was about 200 meters from the pier at Brimnes when the accident happened. 13 passengers were on board, but none of them were injured. By 7.45 a.m. all passengers had disembarked. There were also 10 cars and a crew of six on board the ferry. The ship suffered damage to the rudder and propeller system and will have to undergo repairs either at Ulvik or Brimnes. Divers were sent down to investigate the damage. An attempt to refloat with own power at 10 a.m. failed.
