Deadly diving accident during propeller maintenance

The diver Ali Çilingir, 20, had entered the water to clear the propeller of the 'Skymoon 1' in Tuzla when the propeller of the ship started to work. Ali Çilingir,, was severely injured at the head and his ribs were broken as was his right arm, and he died of his injuries. He was working along with his diver colleagues İbrahim Arslan and Barış Altuğ. The two diverscame to the surface after their work was finished, while Ali Çilingir remained below to film the cleaned propeller. He got entangled when the propeller of the ship started to work. Finding the death as suspicious, the prosecutor's office decided to investigate, while Ali Çilingir's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy. The Coast Guard, along with the crew and divers took the testimony of the Alternatif İnşaat Sualtı Hizmetleri. Ali Çilingir was known as a very experienced diver.
