Propeller fouled by net

The propeller of the "Skulbaren" was fouled by a fishing net 200 miles off the coast between Norway and Iceland. The ship had sailed from Kristiansund on Oct 20. The ship was taken in tow by the Norwegian Coastguard vessel "Sortland" towards the Norwegian coast where the lifeboat "Erik Bye" overtook the tow on Oct 23. Grounding after unloading

In the morning of July 20, 2012, the "Skulbaren" ran aground off the village Årviksand on Arnøya in the Skjervøy municipality. The ship had delivered pollock at a local fish factory and got stuck off the pier. Norwegian report with photo: http://www.nordlys.no/nyheter/article6156542.ece
