DOF Subsea secures contract in Africa for CSV Skandi Skansen
DOF Subsea has secured two contracts in Africa, totaling more than 160 vessel days, for CSV pair Skandi Seven and Skandi Skansen. Skandi Seven has commenced operations in Angola delivering integrated FSV services, project management & engineering. Meanwhile, Skandi Skansen is about to commence mobilisation in the North Sea to deliver a mooring refurbishment and installation project in Ghana.
DOF Subsea Wins UKCS Decom Job
Norwegian vessel provider DOF Subsea has been awarded a contract to decommission subsea infrastructure within the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). The Oslo-listed subsea operating company said in a press note that the contract in the decommissioning sector offshore with a ‘major operator’ was for decommissioning of the infrastructure in the third quarter of 2019. The works will be undertaken by the Skandi Skansen together with DOF owned Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels.
Robbers stole ship stores
Th "Skandi Skansen" was berthed at the port of Sekondi-Takoradi in Ghana, when an unnoticed robber managed to board the vessel and stole properties and escaped on Oct 28, 2018, at 02.30 a.m. During the next routine rounds, the duty crew noticed the padlock to the container was damaged and the theft was identified from a CCTV recording. The incident was reported to the local Authorities.
