Fishing vessel hit emergency tug
Enroute from Cuxhaven to Eemshaven the "Vertrauen - SK 42" slammed into the tug "Nordic" which was at anchor off Norderney in the evening of Apr 30, 2015. Both ships suffered significant damage. The f/v proceeded to Emden escorted by a customs boat and with police officers on board. The 50 year old master had to pay a safety deposit of 1000,- €. The "Nordic" was meanwhile back on its position 2-3 miles off the Island. Since May 1 the "Vertrauen" was under repair at the Schipper Quay in Urk. The ship had suffered significant bow damage, and much of the hull plating of the bow tip has to be replaced now. Photo: http://forum-schiff.de/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23#p114741
