Four crew members tested positive for coronavirus

Four crew members of the 'Sinar Pomalaa' have tested positive for COVID-19 virus as of July 10. Initially, two members out of the 17 were found with a fever and were tested. One of them tested positive. Samples were collected from the other 15 members and three of them have tested positive, while 12 have tested negative. The four members, who tested positive, were being monitored in the vessel, along with the other unaffected members. The ship remaines stationary in Kolkata as of July 13.

Two of 17 crew members of the 'Sinar Pomalaaa' were isolated after the arrival at Kolkata on July 2, 2020, coming from Singapore. When the crew was screened, they were found with temperatures above normal, and were taken to hospital. One man was tested positive for the COVID 19 virus. Cargo operations were stopped and the ship shifted to a quarantine place until tests were completed.
