Vehicles carrier still stuck
Salvage efforts at the 'Hoegh Pusan' were continued on April 22. The tugs 'Sark' (MMSI: 271043518) and 'Gemi Kurtaran' (IMO: 8119041) were connected to the stern of the ship. The lifeboat 'Kiyem 3' (MMSI: 271042657) was on site to assist too.
Grounding off Tuzla
The 'Hoegh Pusan' ran aground at Tuzla anchorage on April 19, 2021, at 11.45 p.m.. The lifeboat 'Kiyem 3' and the tug 'Kurtarma 7' were dispatched to the ship, which requested assistance, by the General Directorate of Coastal Safety. On April 20 the tug 'Tuvram' (MMSI: 271042992) and the patrol boat 'Cevre 2' (MMSI: 271043839) were attending the ship which remained stuck in pos. 40° 47.90' N 029° 15.23' E. On April 21 the offshore tug 'Gemi Kurtaran' (IMO: 8119041) was nearby. The vehilces carrier was in Tuzla since Jan 30, probably to undergo conversion into livestock carrier after having been sold and renamed 'Margaret N' in February.
