Eimskip offloads reefer trio
Icelandic shipping line Eimskip has sealed an agreement to sell three of the company‘s reefer vessels for $12m. The vessels sold are the Langfoss (built 1991), Stigfoss (1990) and Vidfoss (1990), all of which have been operated by Eimskip in Norway for 20 years. Eimskip says it will be taking one of the vessels back on charter for the next two years.
Disabled reefer under tow to Harstad
The "Langfoss", coming from Tromsø, suffered an engine damage on April 22, 2019, and has been docked in Sortland since 2.15 p.m. On April 30 at 2.50 p.m. the reefer was taken in tow by the Danish tug "Odin" (IMO: 870399) for repairs. It arrived in Harstad on May 1 at 5.50 a.m. She left the port again on July 2 at 11.50 am. and headed to Tromsø where it arrived on July 3.
