SH 3 STELLA POLARIS 9107605

Thu Apr 07 09:24:54 CEST 2011 Timsen

The "Stella Polaris" suffered machine failure off St. Peter Ording on Apr 6, 2011, and went adrift off the North Frisian coast. The ship had departed from Buesum in the midday hours Apr 5 for fishing. Due to winds of 6-7 bf the crew asked the DGzRS for assistance, and the still unchristened rescue boat "SK 33" from Buesum was sent. The "SK 33" took the casualty in tow towards Buesum in swells of up to two metres, and it was safely moored in port at 6.20 p.m.
