The tanker "Kinshing" allided with two berthed ships at Kaohsiung on Nov 3, 2018, between 08.50 a.m. and 9 a.m. while trying to leave the port. First it hit the "Setsu Maru" which sustained damages at starboard side. Then the tanker crossed the basin and struck the port side of the berthed tanker "Der Yun". Both ships suffered damage in the main deck area. The "Kinshing" then could be brought under control and berthed near the "Der Yun". She had suffered bow damages. The "Setsu Maru" was allowed to leave Kaohsiung and continued her voyage at 9.40 a.m. to the Naha Container Terminal where she berthed on Nov 4 at 11.50 p.m. Both tankers remained in port for the time being.
