Coming from Liverpool, the "Clipper Point" ran aground in the night of Dec 23, 2018, just by Cammel Lairds north of the basin. She was refloated one hour later with the assistance of the Kotug Smit tugs "Smit Sandox"m "Barbados" and "Waterloo" about one hour later and berthed in the Birkenhead basin at 10.30 p.m.
