Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Completes First Ust-Luga Ship Supply Delivery to Chevron

Fri Oct 07 13:17:23 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC (Gazpromneft) Wednesday announced that it has made its first ship delivery of lube oil to a Chevron Corporation (Chevron) operated tanker at the Russian port of Ust-Luga. Gazpromneft says its vessel Gazpromneft West provided 13.5 tonnes of TARO 40 XL 40 X to the 40,549 DWT Seamarlin tanker during the operation. The supply operation is noted to have been completed in accordance with a 2012 agreement with Chevron, outlining the provision and production of marine oil at Omsk and Moscow refineries under the Chevron brand, as well as deliveries within the territories of Russia and the Baltic states. http://shipandbunker.com/news/emea/513094-gazpromneft-marine-bunker-completes-first-ust-luga-ship-supply-delivery-to-chevron

SEAMARLIN 9380489

Wed Sep 15 09:40:02 CEST 2010 Timsen

On Sep 14, 2010, at 8.15 a.m. Falmouth Coastguard was contacted by the master of the "Sea Marlin" who had received a pan pan urgency call via VHF. They were able to identify from the call that a yacht had become dismasted and was in difficulty. They relayed the urgency call which was made by the yacht's crew on their handheld radio to Falmouth Coastguard which asked the master of the tanker if he would turn around his vessel to provide a communications link and standby the yacht until the arrival of the lifeboat. He duly obliged and stood by the yacht and created a lee. The Penlee RNLI lifeboat was requested to launch and now has the yacht under tow and the tanker was continuing its passage.
