Georgian authorities arrested 12 Turkish seamen for violating Georgian border law. Earlier this year Atilla Durdag, Kharun Oskan, Omer Yaliniz, Ispail Yozgat, Omerfaruk Erdogan, Zevat Ustun and Mekhmed Osdevin entered waters of breakaway republic Abkhazia on Jan 13 and Jan 15 2012 on board of general cargo vessel Ayse Akansu, without prior permission of Georgia authorities. Murad Koroglu, Ozgur Chelik, Iekhmet Byik, Nechmi Bulduk and Adzhar Kadyr did the same on Feb 22 and March 2 2012, on board of general cargo vessel Isik-3. All of them may be sentenced either to heavy fine or 2-5 years prison. Both vessels in question left Georgian waters during April 29, seamen were arrested on April 26.
