Tanker with LPG load for rebels due to arrive in Benghazi
LPG fuel tanker 'Warwick' is due to arrive at the eastern Libyan on Benghazi sometime this week, oil traders said on Wednesday, in a further sign that fuel trade with the rebels is picking up, Reuters Africa reports. The Singapore-flagged Warwick is carrying around 5,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), a product used in north African countries for heating and cooking. One trade source said that the tanker was booked by trading firm Vitol but this could not be immediately be confirmed. Trade sources said the group has won the right to deliver around 80,000 tonnes of fuel this month to east Libya in May.
