Dredger caused oil spill in the Elbe
On Aug 15, 2018, around 1 a.m. the "Schldt River" caused a small oil spill in the Elbe estuary at the height of buoy 53. After the hydraulic hose of the dredger arm broke, the oil was spilt. Most of the oil could be recovered by the crew, but an estimated amount of 150 liters was lost. An oil surveillance flight was launched from Nordholz to monitor the surrounding area.
