Sun Oct 03 20:15:46 CEST 2021 Timsen

The 'Thalassa Patris' interrupted the voyage from Singapore to Suez on Sep 30, 2021, in the Laccadive Sea north of Maldives, and headed to Colomb, after one or more containers containing hazmat material or liquid, started to leak. The ship arrived at Colombo on Oct 2 and was berthed in order to remove the damaged cargo. The ETA at Suez was already delayed from Oct 5 to Oct 10. On Oct 3 at 10.45 a.m. the ship finally left Colombo.

2nd officer missing in Indian Ocean

Thu Nov 28 10:57:57 CET 2019 Timsen

Relatives of the Second Officer of the 'Thalassa Patris' were trying to find out what has happened to the 24-year old Vladislav Maslov who had boarded the ship in Singapore on Nov 18, 2019. The ship had left Singapore on Nov 19 with an ETA at Suez as of Dec 2. Relatives couldn’t contact him since Nov 22, and he was declared missing at 8 p.m. when the ship was sailing in the Indian ocean East of Colombo. The company contacted the relatives on Nov 23 at 8 a.m. The ship turned back at 7 a.m. on Nov 23 to a position where most probably the man went overboard, and searched the area from 6.30 p.m. until Nov 24 at 01.30 a.m. It resuming sailing at 01.45 a.m. at a reduced speed and was moving in legs for eight more hours. It regained full speed at 11.15 a.m.
