Crew tender kept afloat in joint operation
The lifeboat of the DGzRS-station Cuxhaven jointly with the "Sara Maatje IV" kept the Dutch offshore tender „Coastal Flash“ abfloat after it had suffered severe water ingress four miles off the coast during supply work for the wind farm Mittelplate. The supply ship „Sara Maatje IV“ came to assist the ship and its skipper and alerted the lifeboat "Hermann Helms“ which delivered strong dewatering pumps onto the tender boat. Jointly the ship was saved and towed to Cuxhaven where a cran lifted it ashore. The crewtender of the Acta Marine was built 2009, has 12 seats and a length of 10,00 meters.
