Assistance for leaking fishing vessel
On Feb 27, 2025, the Spanish flagged 10-m-fishing vessel 'Foque Uno' wiith two crew members on board, requested urgent assistance due to water ingress in Sant Antoni (Girona). The CCS Barcelona of Salvamento MArítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Sirius' to the scene, which helped bail out the vessel and tows it to the Port d'Aro dry dock for repairs.
Yacht towed to L'Estartit
The sailing vessel 'Nomad' was unable to start its engine 22 nautical miles east of L'Escala on Oct 25. The CCS Barcelona of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Sirius' to tow the yacht to port, and safely pulled it to L'Estartit.
Assistance for disabled motor boat off Cap de Planes
On Oct 12, the motor boat 'Caba IV', with two people on board, suffered an engine failure in Cap de Planes after the propeller was damaged. The boat had no propulsion and was in danger of running aground. The CCS Barcelona of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Sirius', which took the boat in tow and safely pulled it to the Marina Palamós.
