Motor boat towed to Alicante

On Oct 9 the motor boat 'Sabrimar', with one person on board, suffered engine problems and went adrift two nautilcal miles east off Alicante. The shkipper requested towing assistance. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Leo', which pulled the boat back to the port of Alicante.

On Oct 4 the motor yacht 'Musik' requested towing assistance after having suffered a mechanical failure 1.3 nautical miles from the mouth of Alicante with four people on board. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Leo', which took the boat in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Alicante. 15 migrants rescued off Benidorm

On Sep 3 the sailing yacht 'Blue Minx' sighted a precarious boat, which had stopped 27 nautical miles east of Benidorm. The ferry 'El Djazair II' diverted to the scene and provided the occupants with food and water. The 'Blue Minx' remained in the area until the arrival of the 'Salvamar Leo', which had been deployed by the CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo for further assistance, which rescues 15 people, among them one woman and one minor, and transferred them to the port of Valencia.
