60 migrants rescued in two missions

On the morning of Nov 28, the 'Salvamar Diphda' rescued 60 people from two precarious boats. The first rescue of 47 Moroccan people, was carried out 4.8 nautical miles southeast of Punta de la Escaleta (Benidorm). The second rescue, of 13 Moroccans, was carried out in the vicinity of the first. The operation was coordinated by the Maritime Rescue Centre of Salvamento Marítimo in Valencia. Disabled motor boat towed to La Fontana

On June 5, 2024, the motor boat 'Hot Toddy II' suffered an engine failure with six people on board near Cala Blanca-Portixol, Jávea. The boat was threatened to drift aground and requested assistance. TheCCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Diphda', which took the boat in tow and pulled it to La Fontana, where it was safely moored.
