Fishing vessel towed to Santander

The fishing vessel 'Mus' with two crew members on board suffered a broken clutch 1,5 nautical miles north of the Virgen del Mar and requested towing assistane on Sep 25. The CCS Santander of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Deneb', which took the vessel in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Santander.

Fishing boat adrift near Punta Rebollera

On April 15 at 9:00 p.m. the CCS Santander of Salvamento Marítimo was notified about a fishing boat with 16 people on board near Punta Rebollera (San Vicente de la Barquera) with engine problems. The Spanish flagged fishing vessel 'Faro de Guia' with two crew members on board went adrift near Cabo Menor due to a mechanical breakdown, after the engine overheated, on April 8, 2024, and requested assistance. The CCS Santander of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamaber Deneb', which took the ship in tow and safely pulled it to the fishing dock of Santander.
