EMAS’ Flagship Lewek Constellation to Fulfill Major Contract Offshore Australia

Singapore-based subsea contractor EMAS AMC announced on Jan. 9 the winning of a subsea construction contract to support Apache Energy’s Julimar Development project offshore northwest Australia. The Julimar natural gas field is located approximately 180 kilometres west-northwest of the iron ore export hub of Dampier in Western Australia and will eventually be tied in to Chevron’s Wheatstone platform once fully constructed. According to EMAS AMC’s statement today, the contract is valued in excess of A$130 million (USD $105 million) and includes project management, engineering, transportation and subsea installation of an electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilical, two heavy lift subsea manifolds, flying leads and jumpers as well as the procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation of diverless tie-in spools.

EMAS Finalizes $300 Million in Subsea Contracts with Noble

Utilizing their flagship vessel Lewek Constellation along with four other vessels, subsea contractor EMAS AMC has finalized a series of three contracts with Noble Energy worth over $300 million in the Gulf of Mexico. Singapore-listed EMAS notes the scope of work, slated to begin in 2015, includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of subsea tie-backs for the Big Bend, Dantzler and Gunflint field developments in the US Gulf of Mexico. The project management, engineering and procurement will be led by EMAS AMC’s Houston office with fabrication of the 16 subsea structures and stalking and spooling of over 160 miles (258 km) of line pipe is in progress at the recently upgraded EMAS Marine Base facility in Ingleside, Texas.
