Two stowaways discovered in pump room

On Agu 7, 2022, the police took care of the two stowaways aboard the 'Saint Vassilios' in Tyssedal in Hardanger a few days after the crew of the ship discovered them. They had then stayed for ten days in a pump room on board the vessel without being discovered. The two were then in poor condition and had survived only on water. They were in better condition when they came to Tyssedal. Now they have been taken care of by the Police's immigration unit and are being transported to Oslo to apply for asylum. The ship had transported sand from Dakar to the smelter in Tyssedal. It is unclear whether the two stowaways knew where they were going.
