Container ship boarded by robbers

On Jan 13, 2020, short past midnight, while the 'Nordic Wismar' was anchored in pos. 14:22.91S – 040:42.55E, at Nacala Anchorage, Mozambique, the duty watchman during rounds on deck noticed two robbers armed with long knives approaching him. He immediately informed the duty officer who raised alarm, and alerted other crew members. Upon inspection it was discovered a long rope was missing from forward store.

Lubrication problems off Cape Town

The "Niledutch Beijing " encountered lubrication problems off the South African West Coast whilst coming from Namibe where the ship had departed on Feb 22, 2013. A lube oil contamination was suspected. On Mar 1 the tug "Smit Amandla" (IMO: 7385215) was dispatched for assistance and towed the container ship to Cape Town.
