Catamaran ferry allided with quay
In the evening of Mar 11, 2014, at 7.30 p.m. the "Sollifjell" allided with the quay at Prostneset in Tromsø. The ferry went sideways into the dock and bumped against the wharf amidships suffering scratches at the hull. No injuries were reported. The scheduled departures to Finnsnes and Harstad on Mar 12 at 7 a.m. had to be cancelled while the ship was undergoing an inspection. On Apr 16, 2010, the rescue boat "Harald V" found a piece of debris of the "Sollifjell" drifting in the sea off Trøndelag which broke lose on Mar 24 when the ship suffered a mishap underway from the building yard Båtservice Mandal AS to Harstad. Parts of the tunnel between the catamaran hulls had separated with a bang by unknown reasons, and the ship had to enter Bud south of Kristiansund. The triangeled piece was recovered and will be part of the investigation regarding the incident.

the "Sollifjell" remains berthed at Bud south of Kristiansund in Møre, Romsdal. The ship has suffered severe damage underneath its saloon deck. On Mar 24, 2010, it had an allision at Bud on its way to a presentation due to a technical failure underway to a presentation at Horstad planned for Mar 25 and will have to be repaired at the yard in Mandal before entering the Harstad-Finnsnes-Tromsø run for Veolia Transports.
