Engine failure off Trabzon

The 'Rusich 7', en route from Trabzon to Taganrog, suffered an engine failure in position 41 18 00 N, 039 28 00 E, north of Trabzon on July 25, 2022, at around 6 p.m. Repair works were commenced by the crew wile the ship was drifting with winds and currents.

Cook feared lost over board

Enroute Halden-Dordrecht the "Rusich 7" lost a man overboard on Dec 28, 2012. One helicopter and five Swedish and Danish rescue vessels searched the day after the female cook was feared to have fallen overboard north of Bornholm. The Russian ship alerted the Danish Sjövärnet at 10 a.m. The Swedish Coastguard attended with two coastguard vessels and the lifeboat "Gad Rausing" from Skillinge. Weather in the area was poor with waves up to two meters high, making it difficult to detect the woman At 2.30 p.m. the search was suspended. The woman has not been found.
