Gear trouble off Sveggen

Tue Sep 27 11:08:55 CEST 2016 Timsen

In the afternoon of Sep 26, 2016, the "Ballstadøy" suffered propulsion trouble off Sveggen in Averøy. The lifeboat "Erik Bye" was called to assist and established a towing connection at 3.45 p.m. to the trawler which had a gear problem. Due to the calm weather it was an easy task to tow the casualty to the Stor Quay in Kristiansund where it was safely moored at 4.40 p.m. Norwegian report with photo: http://www.tk.no/nyheter/redningsselskapet/bat/fiskebat-fikk-motortrobbel/s/5-51-228973
