Medevac off Katwijk
On March 15, 2017, a fisherman aboard the "Rosemarie - KW 34" was injured and had to be medevaced by the lifeboat of the KNRM-stationKatwijk. Following a conference call with the Dutch Coastguard and the doctor of the Radio Medical Service it was initially decided not to evacuate him immediately. Because the fisherman in the afternoon suffered increasing complaints from his finger, contact was made with the skipper of the rescue station. Around 7.15 p.m. the lifeboat "Edith Grondel" was launched and took the injured off. Back ashore, the fisherman was brought to the medical center.
