Crew member died of heart attack

A 45 year old, Russian crew member of the 'Ronja' was in critical health condition, and the ship requested immediate medical assistance in the evening of Sep 17, 2020, in the Bay of Biscay, 48 miles northwest of Ortegal, while en route from Aveiro to Brake. The ship changed course and sailed towards A Coruña. Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the Pesca II helicopter, which, however, could not take off due to the bad weather in the area. Finally the Helimer 402 helicopter carried out the hoist and took the man to A Coruña, where the death of the man was confirmed. The ship resumed its voyage after the medevac.

Allision in Brunsbüttel

On April 2, 2020, at 4.35 p.m. the 'Ronja', enroute from Figueira da Foz to Sczcecin, allided with the gate of the old northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel upon entering the basin upon the start of its eastbound transit. The accident was investigated by the water police Brunsbüttel inside the lock. The ship was released at 5.30 p.m. and resumed its voyage with an ETA as of April 3 , 4 p.m.
