Roma towed to Weil
The "Roma" was towed from Klingental to Weil in the midday hours of Aug 17. At 12.25 a.m. the Rhine was open again for all traffic.

Tanker allided with bridge
On Aug 17, 2911, around 7 a.m. the "Roma" suffered engine damage on the Rhine at Basel being underway to Germany and drifted downstream 7 with the current, finally allidind with the Middle Wettstein Bridge. The wheelhouse of the tanker was destroyed. The ship drifted still further, but could be stopped right off the Johanniter bridge by an emergency anchoring. Until the ship was towed away, the traffic on the river had to be stopped.
