Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
The "Rødøy" had to be withdrawn from the Jektvik-Kilboghamn route n June 9, 2019, due to a technical failure. Torghatten Nord AS informed at 11:45 that schedule was resumed with a departure from Jektvik at 11:45 a.m. with a reserve ferry.
Two crew members of ferry fired after having consumed alcohol
The master of the "Rødøy" who was found to have drunk alcohol during a control on Aug 12, 2012, has now been fired. Also the engineer was suspended with immediate effect. As the ferry company's policy is zero tolerance for alcohol, both lost jobs. Alcohol should not be consumed within eight hours before departure. The poliec in Rødøy is still investigating the incident.
Ferry service suspended
The ferry service Jektvik - Kilboghamn had to be suspended for over five hours on Aug 12, 2012, due to a lack of qualified crew aboard the "Rødøy" due to suspected drinking. The queued car drivers were recommended to take a route via Mo i Rana. The ferry link was operational again at 4.10 pm. at the Sørfjorden and at 4.40 from Kilboghamn.
