Riot threat aboard Russian vessel
The "Rodonit" by Feb 24, 2014, was anchored off Ilyichevsk port for 17 days with fresh water and food supplies running out, Odin.tc reports. The vessel was to be returned to owner, Russian company Fedcominvest, from a Kent Shipping bareboat chater. The 13 Crew members, with wages delays and unclear situation, were on the verge of riot, threatening to hijack the vessel. The "Rodonit" initially was to proceed to Kherson for repairs at the Kherson Ship Repair Yard. But the vessel could not sail to Kherson, because the agency company Poseidon did not fulfill its obligations and did nothing to make necessary formalities.
