MOB boat used for salvage
The MOB-boat of the 'Ro North' was launched in the afternoon of May 31, 202, to assist a fishing vessel south of Sandnessjøen. The ship had suffered an engine failure and was in danger of running aground off Ura. The fish carrier which was berthed in Sandnessjøen quickly launched its MOB boat and pulled the disabled ship to Sandnessjøen. Wellboat assisted grounded fishing vessel
The "Ro North" assisted a fishing vessel which had run aground in the morning of Sep 6, 2019 at the island of Fleina in the municipality of Gildeskål. The crew of the "Ro North" launched the MOB boat which was fast on site. The casualty was pulled out within 15 minutes.
Fish carrier saved stranded fishermen
After a fishing vessel ran aground in the Husværfjord in Herøy on Aug 9, 2018, at 7.30 a.m., the "Ro North" was first on scene and rescued the crew of two with its MOB. The fisherman were taken to safety only 15 miinutes after the mayday call. A rescue helicopter from Ørlandet was alerted, but could be stood down. In the foremidday work was on to refloat the grounded vessel.
