Repairs of collision damage completed

Repairs of the collision damage at the foreship of the "Rix Pacific" at the Stocznia Yard in Gdynia was completed on Mar 21, and the ship shifted to the anchorage off the port and sailed at 2.40 p.m. bound to Riga, ETA Mar 24.

Rix Pacific underway with collision damage

The "Rix Pacific" suffered a collision damage some time before Mar 6 when the ship was seen in Hamburg with significant damage to the bulwark on the foreship while shifting from the Dradenau Port to the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Port. Obviously the damage did not affect the seaworthyness of the vessel as on Mar 9 it transited the Kiel Canal from Hamburg to Gdyia where she arrived on Mar 10 and where she is actually still being berthed at Stocznia Gdynia, Wegierskie. Cargo ship adrift off Borkum

On Feb 2, 2013, around 1 a.m. the "Neptun" suffered engine failure SW of Borkum. The ship had just left the EWD - (Emder Werft und Dockbetriebe) on Feb 1 at 7 p.m. The ship started to drift with the tide currents. The lifeboat "Hannes Glogner" from the DGzRS-station Borkum was alarmed. But before it reached the vessel, its crew was able to start the engine again. The vessel was allowed to return to Emden with tug assistance. It berthed at the Ems Quay on Feb 2 at 11.30 p.m. and returned to the Emder Dockyard on Feb 4 around noon.
