Riva Wind left Odessa with 50000 tons of grain
The 'Riva Wind' has left the Port of Odessa, loaded with 50,000 tons of grain, on Aug 7, and headed towards Istanbul, where it anchored for inspections on Aug 9. The grain is owned by a joint venture between Harvest Commodities SA and Indonesia's Arsari Group. The joint venture operates through PT Comexindo International. The safe passage was made possible through efforts and agreement between the governments of the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Indonesia. as well as the United Nations. The Harvest Commodities SA also owns the 'Arizona' which left Chornomorsk with 55.000 tons of grain. The captains and crews of both ships have been waiting on their ships since Russia started the war against the Ukraine on Feb 24. In addition, two other ships owned by Harvest Commodities in Novorossiysk, are actually being loaded, the bulk carrier 'Shark' with 25,000 tons of grain and the 'Bronco' with 10,000 tons.
