Medevac off Medemblik
On July 12, 2022, at aroudn 4 p.m. the KNRM Andijk and KNRM Medemblik were mobilized for a medical evacuation from the 'Rhein Prinzessin' on the IJsselmeer. The lifeboats ''t Span' from Andijk and 'Bernardine' from Medemblik proceeded to the ship's position with an ambulance crew on board the latter. The patient's condition was such that it was not possible to wait for the ship to reach the port of Medemblik. The ''t Span' arrived quickly on scene for the first aid. The 'Bernardine' followed not much later with the ambulance personnel. Given the patient's condition, he had to be quickly disembarked and taken to a hospital for further treatment.
