A new outbreak of coronavirus was registered in the Sonda de Campeche, after two workers from the ÄPemex Reforma' ship were detected with symptoms of Covid-19, so they were transferred to land to receive medical attention, one in serious health. IT was one of the managers of the vessel, who was on board for several days and had contact with a good part of the nearly 600 workers. Pemex announced that it has begun to implement preventive measures against coronavirus infections on its La Sonda platforms. Acomprehensive prevention model was implemented to reduce Covid-19 infections on its oil facilities. Thermal imaging cameras were installed to detect the body temperature of the personnel. He noted that facilities and means of transportation were being regularly sanitized in order to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection among workers. Those workers were are necessary to give operational continuity were also identified and the working day was implemented under the remote work modality. On April 18 another 20 workers were disembarked from the platform, some from the company and others from outside companies, were transferred to land. 17 of these workers are from Petróleos Mexicanos and three from different companies, coming from the Ku Alfa, Ku Sierra, Zaap Charly platforms and the 'Reforma Pemex' and 'Blue Pioner'. In the case of the 17 workers of the state company, in the afternoon the arrival of six workers from Ku Alfa and three from Ku Sierra was reported. Around 6:30 p.m. eight of them arrived on three flights that came from the Pool Alfa platform.
