Arrested tanker sold
The "Brightoil Grace", which was arrested in Singapore on Dec 31, 2018, was sold on June 20, 2019, and has been renamed "Red Nova". On June 25, the tanker remained stationary on the Singapore East Anchorage.
Sold by court
The company’s 2012-built VLCC Brightoil Gravity, which was arrested in South Korea, was sold for KRW72.44bn ($61.28m), while the 2010-built aframax tanker Brightoil Lion and the 2013-built VLCC Brightoil Grace, which were arrested in Singapore, were sold for S$36.6m ($26.8m) and S$75.1m ($55m) respectively. Brightoil said it doesn’t know the identities of the buyers at the moment.
Tanker arrested in Singapore
The "Brightoil Grace" was arrested in Singapore on Dec 31, 2018, at 4 p.m. The arresting solicitor was Joseph Tan Jude Benny LLP. The vessel was located at the AVLCC Anchorage.
