Medevac off La Hague

On July 7, 2021, at 09:40 a.m. the CROSS Jobourg was notified by the 'Ranger' that a crew member required medical assistance. The ship was 55 nautical miles west of La Hague. The CROSS then initiates a conference call with the Toulouse Maritime Medical Consultation Center (CCMM) and the 'Ranger' as well as a second conference call with the the SAMU in Le Havre. A medical evacuation of the sailor by helicopter was recommended. The CROSS tasked a Dragon 50 civil security helicopter based in Granville to carry out the evacuation. After having taken on board a medical team from the mobile emergency and maritime resuscitation service of Granville and a helicopter rescuer from the departmental fire and rescue service, the helicopter headed to the area . At 11:49 a.m., after being conditioned by the medical team placed on board the ship, the crew member was hoisted aboard the helicopter and dropped off at the Caen University Hospital, where he was taken care of by medical teams.

Athens/Amsterdam, Oct 12 (DPA) A Greek-owned tanker loaded with jet fuel collided with a container ship off the coast of Amsterdam, officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Athens said Tuesday. The officials said the tanker Mindoro, with a crew of 24, including Greeks, Filipinos and a Romanian, had briefly leaked fuel into the North Sea following the collision with the Cypriot-flagged container vessel York Ranger.
