Container ship disabled and in danger of running aground
In the morning of Dec 31, 2013, the "Ragna" suffered engine failure and was in danger of running aground shortly after the departure from Helsinki to Klaipeda. The ship lost power near Torra causing it to lose manoeuvrability at Kuiva-Hevonen crossroads in the narrow Vuosaari channel. A pilot boat pushed away the disabled "Ragna" from the rocks. The ship was then towed back to port, where it was waiting for repairs.
