Disabled trawler towed to Sortland
On March 5, 2019, at 11 a.m. the "Proekt-1" with a crew of 20 on board suffered an engine breakdown on the fishing grounds at Røstbanken, 50 miles west of Røst. The patrol boat "Sortland" of the Norwegian Coastguard was called to assist the casualty. It managed to establish a towing connection and towed the vessel towards the Sotland Sound, where it arrived 19 hours later, and the NSSR-lifeboat "Knut Hoem" took over in the early morning of March 6. Grounding in Varanger Fjord
The "Proekt-1", while approaching the port of Kirkenes enroute from Murmansk, ran aground in the Varanger Fjord, in position 069 43 43 N, 030 01 56 E, on Nov 11, 2018, at 07.09 a.m. The tug "North Tug" was requested to assist the trawler. However, the trawler refloated independently at 09.15 a.m. The "North Tug" assisted to berth in the port of Kirkenes at 9.40 a.m.
Trawler disabled, drifting in Barents sea
Trawler PROEKT-1 at 0730 Moscow time Aug 9 fouled her propeller in trawl during fishing. Disabled vessel requested assistance, being adrift in Barents sea east of Kildin Island, Murmansk region. Salvage tug ATRIYA (IMO 8724107) was sent to assist, trawler is to be towed to safe waters in Kolskiy Bay.
