Priwall ferry hit by Norwegian cargo ferry

Fri Sep 14 09:28:20 CEST 2012 Timsen

The "Priwall IV" was slightly damaged in the incident with the Norwegian ferry "Antares“ which had veered to starboard on Sep 9 at 6.40 a.m. in dense fog and also hit eight pleasure boats and a lighted piling. Four berths in the marina could no longer be rented after the accident. The motor yacht "Time for us“ allided with a piling and a pier due to wave impact and suffered damaged railings. Most damage suffered a motoryacht of the type Hatteras 41 which was for sale. Its structural integrity was to be surveyed on Sep 10. The "Priwall IV“ which was moored near the marina suffered scratches when in touch with the hull of the "Antares". Port workers aboard the launch "Kranich" meanwhile started to remove the damaged pilings.
