Russian and Ukrainian crew to be paid 250000 Euro
The Russian and Ukrainian crew of the "Clipper Faith" which were stranded in Dublin because of a financial dispute were to be paid 250000 Euro in arrears and allowed to return home. The vessel was arrested by a bank in the Netherlands in March after its London-based owners defaulted on a mortgage. The 17 sailors had not been paid their wages since December 2012, and half of them left the ship in February believing they would never be paid. The International Transport Federation intervened to resolve the row and ensure that the crew will be paid their arrears in full.
