Spring lines broke in ice

The "Nord Montreal", coming from Alumar and being assisted by the tug "Fjord Saguenay", broke two forward spring lines while berthing in Port Alfred, due to heavy ice conditions, on Jan 26, 2019, at 01.30 a.m. No injuries, other damages, or pollution reported. The tug on its side suffered a failure of its port Z-drive units and the loss of about 140 litres of gearbox fuel.
