Tanker still under repair, Posidana enroute to Brazil
The tanker "Klara" which was severeky damaged in the collision with the "Posidana" was temporarily patched at the Heros Quay in Sluiskil. The gap amidships was stabilized with additional steel beams and plates which were fitted over the hole at starboard side for reinforcement. On May 13 at 2.20 a.m. the ship shifted to the Autriche Port and berthed at the Mammoet Quay. The "Posidana" had left Terneuzen already on May 2 at 9.45 p.m. and headed to Tilbury, where she docked from May 3 to 8 and then headed to Londonderry. Collision on the Ghent-Terneuen-Canal
On the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal the "Klara" was damaged in a collision with the "Posidana" on April 30, 2019, just after midnight at the Sluiskil bridge. The vessel en route from Ust-Luga to Ghent when the accident happened. It suffered damage at the starboard side and water ingress. After the collision, the crew of the patrol boat "RWS 88" of Rijkswaterstaat boarded the ship from a pontoon that was located at the Sluiskil bridge. From Terneuzen, Multraship proceeded with the "Multrasalvor 5" to assist the "Klara" which was moored between the East Quay and the Industriy Way in Sluiskil East. The "Posidana" which had been underway from Ghent to Tilbury at the time of the collision berthed in bulk port of Terneuzen at 12.15 a.m. She left the port of Terneuzen again on May 2 at 9.45 p.m., headed to Tilbury, where she arrived on May 3 at 10 a.m. The "Klara" remained berthed at the East Quay in Terneuzen by May 7.
