Crew boat evacuated after smoke development
In the morning of Feb 3, 2016, smoke development was noticed in both engine rooms of the "Porth Dafarch" in the Rotterdam Hoek off Urk in the IJssel Sea between Creil and Rutten. The KNRM-lifeboats of the stations Urk and Lemmer as well as the "RWS 25" of Rijkswaterstaat were alerted and transferred members of the fire rescue onto the scene. Another crew boat took off the passengers from the "Porth Dafarch", the crew of two remained on board. Half an hour after the alert the situation was under control, and the tender boat was towed into the port of Urk for further investigations. The boat was serving the wind plant Noordoostpolder.
