Offshore ship took disabled sailing vessel in tow
On Oct 16, 2016, the "Polarsyssel" was deployed to the Duve Fjord in North Austland to assist the sailing ship "Arctica" which had reported engine problems. There were three French people and seven dogs on board the sailboat. All were taken on board the offshore ship. Since it was not possible to repair the engine on site, it towed the sailboat back to Longyearbyen in the morning of Oct 17 and was scheduled to arrive in two days.
