Car carrier adrift in Bay of Bengal
The "Polaris Leader" was disabled and adrift in the Bay of Bengal since at least June 11, 2015, around 550 miles west of Phuket island, en route from Djibouti, where she had left the container terminal on June 1 bound to Laem Chabang, for loading a shipment of cars. Since then, the port of destination has been changed to Singapore.
